The bus has been bought for school contracts and private hire. It combines high capacity with extra comfort for passengers: all 85 coach-style seats are fitted with double padding, and there is stylish SuperGrey tint glazing on all the windows.
It’s the first Enviro400 ever bought by the independent business, which runs a high-quality fleet of 27 coaches and buses on tour and private hire work as well as school contracts.
Richard Keeber, Director of GH Watts, said: “We’re delighted to take this new Enviro400, having been impressed by Alexander Dennis’s offering and service. The bus makes a fantastic high-capacity addition to the fleet without compromising on the quality and high standards that our customers, young and old, expect from us. We are proud of our role in the community, and proud of the first-class service we provide to local schools, and this bus certainly fits the bill.
“It’s a really striking-looking vehicle, even better than we hoped, and we can’t wait to put it to work.”
Regional Sales Manager Simon Wood said: “This bus is an absolute beauty: it looks fantastic, and will certainly make an impression out on the roads.
“GH Watts are a new customer for us, and we couldn’t be prouder that they’ve chosen us for their high-capacity needs. From the beautiful livery to the personalised plate, Richard and the team have taken every care to specify a vehicle that fits in with their lovely fleet and will wow customers. Many thanks to them for choosing Alexander Dennis.”
GH Watts is a family-run operator, which will celebrate its 65th birthday next year. Established by George Henry Watts and Walter Charles Keeber, today it’s run by the third generation of the family from its base in Leicester, and provides coach travel all around the UK and Europe.
