The company Ludwig Arzt Omnibusverkehr e.K. is expanding its cooperation with Viking River Cruises through the addition of 16 new vehicles from the Setra ComfortClass. The operator based in Seligenporten near Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate region took delivery of eight new Setra touring coaches in Neu?Ulm, while eight additional vehicles were handed over to subcontractors Schmetterling Group Travel, Braumüller, Kugler Omnibusreisen, and Willax. The identically equipped eight two?axle Setra S 516 HD coaches each provide seating for 48 passengers, while the eight three?axle Setra S 517 HD coaches each offer 52 seats.
The two? and three?axle coaches operate on behalf of the river cruise operator along the travel routes Trier–Bamberg and Trier–Basel, providing passengers at the ports with transportation for city tours and excursions to local attractions.
Today, the long?established company—which was founded 80 years ago by Ludwig Arzt as a freight transport business and has since grown to become one of the largest privately owned bus companies in the Nuremberg region—currently operates 70 Setra vehicles in its fleet.
