Watermill Coaches takes third Enviro200

Alexander Dennis announced that it has delivered a third Enviro200 single-deck bus to Watermill Coaches of Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

It’s the third year running the operator has invested in an Alexander Dennis Enviro200. Like the two examples delivered in 2024 and 2025, the new bus is 8.9m long and seats 30 with belts at every seat.

The bus was bought from stock, with the operator benefiting from good availability and fast delivery. The team at Alexander Dennis’s Scarborough facility added three-point belts to all fixed seats at short notice in time for a contract start date, thanks to the Alexander Dennis SmartSeat’s ability to be retrofitted with belts.

Built to the manufacturer’s attractive stock specification, the bus is trimmed in Camira moquette with Altro wood-effect flooring.

It is lightweight and fuel-efficient, and because it’s fitted with Alexander Dennis’s own SmartPack efficiency technology, it’s accredited as a Low Emission Bus.[1]

The Enviro200 is painted white with Watermill Coaches’ striking purple-based branding applied.

It will be used on a new local bus service contract won by the operator. Watermill Coaches runs several bus routes around Ellon, Fraserburgh, Inverurie, Newburgh and Peterhead.

The business has a fleet of more than 60 buses and coaches, and invests frequently in brand-new vehicles. Established in 1979, it operates from three depots in Aberdeenshire, carrying out a broad range of private hire, corporate transport and bus services.

Raymond Clark, Director at Watermill Coaches, said: “We’re very impressed by the service from Alexander Dennis. They had just the right sort of vehicle in stock and were very good in converting it to belted and delivering it to us quickly before the start of our new contract.

“The two Enviro200 buses already in the fleet are fantastic workhorses, they drive well and our passengers like them, so we had full confidence in buying a third.”

Charlie Miller, Head of Retail Sales at Alexander Dennis, said: “I’m delighted that Raymond and the Watermill team have decided to come to Alexander Dennis once again for their new bus purchase.

“The combination of available stock, and a great team at our Scarborough facility to flip the built bus into belted for the contract it will be working on, made the Enviro200 the ideal choice. Many thanks to Watermill Coaches for the repeat business.”
