MAHA UK, the premium workshop equipment provider, is confident of replicating its Road Transport Expo success at the sister show – RTX Scotland – taking place at SEC Glasgow between 18 and 19 November.
Hailed as Scotland’s one-stop industry event that’s all about the truck and everything that’s related to it, the inaugural event in 2025 showed the best of the Scottish transport industry and, 12 months on, RTX Scotland returns with a larger exhibition hall, more exhibitors, extended opening hours, and bolstered visitor facilities.
MAHA UK is one of the 80 supplier exhibitors, with the duo of Luke Fuller and James Thompson ready to represent the company and welcome delegates, showcase the array of workshop equipment on display, listen and discuss their businesses’ requirements, and find them a solution that will make a tangible difference.
At Road Transport Expo in July, Luke and James were part of a four-person team that received many enquiries and interest in rising roller brake testing.
Several visitors reported that they would prefer to invest and modify their existing MBT 7250 commercial brake tester to be compliant, rather than undertake a complete overhaul of their equipment. It was also reported that the need for more brake tests and improved record-keeping meant some operators were considering bringing brake testing in-house.
This stems from the requirements and demands of the meaningful brake test. This requires trailers to be loaded, ideally at least 65% of the total maximum weight during roller brake testing – but rising rollers elevate and simulate loaded conditions without any physical cargo. These tests need to be conducted at least four times a year, including at the MOT.
MAHA UK Managing Director, Neil Ebbs, said: “Inspired by our findings at Road Transport Expo, we are prepared for the conversations we are likely to have at RTX Scotland. We are acutely aware that the industry, generally, is still adapting to the guidelines, and we are here to support professionals.”
As well as its commercial brake tester with rising roller bed option, MAHA UK will also be highlighting mobile column lifts, headlight testers and axle play detectors.
Visitors can find James and Luke on MAHA UK’s stand C10.
