The new PEUGEOT E-PARTNER, manufactured in the UK, was also the UK best-selling small e-LCV in September.
September was a particularly successful month for PEUGEOT as the brand increased its e-LCV market share to 19.5% year-to-date, an increase of +8.4% compared to the same point last year.
The new E-PARTNER has contributed to PEUGEOT’s e-LCV success as the best-selling small electric van in September. The new E-PARTNER features an updated design, new technologies, and an increased all-electric range of up to 213 miles(WLTP). The E-PARTNER is part of PEUGEOT’S all-electric van range which also includes the new E-EXPERT and new E-BOXER.
PEUGEOT is at the forefront of electrification in the UK, offering the widest all-electric line-up of any mainstream European manufacturer. By the end of 2024, PEUGEOT will offer 12 all-electric vehicles, including nine passenger cars and three e-LCVs. This helped the brand achieve a 31.8% electric car sales mix and 17.4% e-LCV sales mix in September. With the introduction of the new E-3008 and E-5008 Long Range, PEUGEOT now also offers the longest range of up to 435 and 415 miles (WLTP) respectively.
PEUGEOT, alongside its sister Stellantis brands, is the only brand to manufacture electric vans in volume in the UK. The new PEUGEOT E-PARTNER is manufactured at Ellesmere Port, the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant.
PEUGEOT’s overall electric sales, both in car and LCV sales, have also increased in comparison to last year. Month-to-date, PEUGEOT’s share of the electric car market has increased 4.7% compared to September 2023, with 2,664 electric cars sold. This has contributed to overall car sales of 50,871 year-to-date, compared to 46,371 sold by this time in 2023.
As well as offering the most extensive electric vehicle line-up of any mainstream brand in Europe, PEUGEOT now offers its comprehensive Allure Care Warranty across its electric car range. The Allure Care Warranty† covers the electric motor, onboard charger, transmission, and main electrical and mechanical components for up to eight years or 100,000 miles, making PEUGEOT the first European manufacturer to offer such generous coverage.
Eurig Druce, Managing Director, PEUGEOT UK, said: “We are proud to be at the forefront of the shift to electrification in the UK – as demonstrated by the fact almost 1 in 3 cars sold by PEUGEOT in September were electric. We are committed to the electric transition and our leadership in electric van sales and the small electric van segment with the new E-PARTNER is a testament to our technology and innovation in the electric vehicle market.”
