Renault Kangoo wins at the company car & van awards

Renault Kangoo named ‘Small Van of the Year’ at the Company Car & Van Awards 2024 for the second year in a row. Judges praised the Kangoo for its load carrying ability, efficiency, car-like driving dynamics and sheer choice it offers professional users.

The Renault Kangoo has started 2024 in style by being named ‘Small Van of the Year’ at the Company Car & Van Awards 2024.

It’s the second year in a row that the acclaimed light commercial vehicle has won at the annual awards, the pure-electric E-Tech version claiming the ‘Small Electric Van of the Year’ title at last year’s ceremony.

Andrew Walker, Editor of Company Car & Van, explained the reasons behind the specialist website and bi-monthly magazine’s judges awarding the Kangoo for the second consecutive year: “Renault have produced a vastly improved small van with the latest Kangoo. Their engineers have added some clever storage solutions both in the load area and in the cabin, with the added bonus that it drives just like a small car. It’s also comfortable, well equipped, safe and frugal. You can choose from petrol, diesel and electric powertrains, plus two wheelbases, meaning there’s a Kangoo van for everyone.”

On receiving the award, Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director Renault Brand UK, said: “We are only days into the New Year and Kangoo has already won its first award of 2024, underlining how it really does stand the test of time and is still the model to beat in its highly competitive class. For businesses considering a new compact light commercial vehicle in the year ahead, whether it be electric or conventionally powered, they can see right now that Kangoo is the best solution.”

Kangoo is available in Advance and Extra trim levels, offering a choice of petrol, diesel or 100% electric powertrains, plus short-, long-wheelbase and crew van formats. Its extensive specification offers up to 20 advanced driver assistance systems. The pure-electric Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric combines a load volume of up to 4.2m3 and a maximum 764kg payload with a driving range of up to 186 miles (WLTP). Its flexible charging means that an 80% charge can be achieved in circa 43 minutes when using rapid DC charging at up to 80kW.

The Kangoo is priced from £20,250 plus VAT, and the Kangoo E-Tech 100% electric starts at £32,350 plus VAT before the PIVG.
