One of the most loyal market sectors for Isuzu trucks in the UK is the hard working road rescue and recovery industry and Isuzu has achieved impressive market penetration over the last 15 years or so. Isuzu Truck

Following feedback from customers within this sector regarding Isuzu’s new F120.240, 4×2, 12-tonne crew cab model, the company decided to increase the appeal of this product by offering two options to the standard, factory fitted specification.

With immediate effect, customers can now specify a new rear passenger access step located on the nearside of the vehicle. This new step facilitates far easier accessibility to the rear seats. It is wider and is centred between the door pillars, plus it consists of three steps. Whilst the original off-set, 2-step configuration is functional it is more difficult to use for older, perhaps less mobile, customers.

As a further enhancement recovery operators can also choose to upgrade the rear passenger seats. The new seats, designed locally here in the UK, still seat four people as did the original. However it is no longer a ‘bench’ seat. It has four individually contoured seats with superior padding and has been stylishly re-upholstered. Furthermore the entire frame has been raised to provide a much more comfortable seating position – especially important for those unfortunate customers that might require long-distance recovery. The raising of the seat framework ‘created’ an opportunity to provide recovery operators with much needed, extra internal storage space. This is provided ‘as standard’ when the new seat option is requested.
