ET Morris & Sons, the Boston-based haulage & storage specialists, have added a further 10 Krone ‘Euroliner’ coil carriers to the 10 purchased last October bringing the fleet compliment to 90 trailers.
Founded in 1950, ET Morris has a long history in general haulage and in more recent times has specialised in imported cargo including steel coils for which the Coil Liners from Krone are perfectly suited.
According to Director Jeremy Morris, the Coil Liners provide the ultimate in loading flexibility which enables Morris to handle a wide variety of loads including coils, timber, steel plates and palletised goods.
“We also carry specialist cargo such as steel plate” explains Jeremy Morris “which often exceed 2.5m in width. Consequently we specified a number of trailers with Krone’s unique vertical widening rear pillars which enable the rear doors to open out to 3.5m wide for loading and then close again using a manual hydraulic pump at the rear of the trailer.”
Operating from Hull docks on what Morris describe as their ‘Total Quayside To Destination’ service – computerised stock control, customer liaison, handling, storage and freight – the coil liners come with a 10 year KTL, corrosion-resistant finish.
