Launceston-based DB Distribution was founded in 1995 by Don Berryman, with a single Mercedes-Benz 308D. He went on to purchase early examples from the first Sprinter range launched in the same year, before switching to other vehicle brands.

Now, as the company approaches its 20th anniversary, and two years after Mr Berryman’s retirement, DB Distribution has come full circle by acquiring 11 Sprinter 310 CDIs – seven Mediums and four Longs – with competitive funding support from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services.

DB Distribution is now run by Mr Berryman’s sons Nick and Rob, and although parcels and palletised distribution remains its core business, it has also branched out to offer storage facilities for private and commercial customers, as well as a comprehensive range of packaging materials.

DB Distribution, a Cornish parcels delivery and storage company has returned to its roots with a new fleet of Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans.“It doesn’t matter whether you’re talking about engineering integrity, running costs, safety features or brand image, Mercedes-Benz vans are rightly viewed as the pinnacle so we’re delighted once again to be running vehicles bearing the three-pointed star,” enthused Rob Berryman.

“Our new DB Distribution Sprinters look fantastic when lined-up together, while the drivers love them for their comfort and quality. As a company that’s always conscious of our Duty of Care obligations to staff and other road users, we’re also reassured by the fact that Mercedes-Benz vans are the safest on the road.”

The new fleet will be maintained under a three-year Mercedes-Benz ServiceCare contract by the workshop team at City West Commercials’ Roche depot, who will undertake routine, annual services during evenings.

“City West’s van sales executive Gemma Gagan clearly understands our industry and the fact that DB Distribution need our vehicles to be out on the road and earning at all times. She was impressively tenacious in her determination to win the order for our new fleet.”
