The company received the Innovation, Customer Care, and Home Delivery Operator of the Year Awards

DPD, one of the UK’s most popular parcel delivery companies, took home three awards at the 2017 Motor Transport Awards in London.

The 2017 ceremony marked the second year in a row that DPD won three awards. In addition to retaining the Customer Care award for the fourth year running, DPD won the Home Delivery Operator of the Year award for the second time in three years, and finally the Innovation Award, before more than 1,600 guests at Grosvenor House on Park Lane.

DPD operates more than 5,000 vehicles from 56 locations and delivers over 200 million parcels a year.

Stand-up comedian and television presenter John Bishop presented the Awards – known as the ‘Oscars’ of the transport industry. The evening celebrates outstanding achievement in the industry and recognises innovation, customer service, efficiency and quality. Entrants are judged by an independent panel of experts drawn from the industry.

The judging panel commented: “DPD once again impressed with its strong business performance and industry-leading innovations. At the heart of DPD’s successes in the past year is its end-customer app Your DPD. The technology allows customers to personalise their delivery experience by changing their preferences in the application.”

In the past five years DPD was ranked as one of The Sunday Times’ ‘Best Big Companies to Work For’, won the Queen’s Award for Innovation and the Which? Special Award, and topped MoneySavingExpert’s customer satisfaction poll for parcel delivery companies for four years running.
