Go Plant and Essential Fleet Services successfully complete merger

Following the acquisition of Go Plant in the summer by Essential Fleet Services, the successful merger of the two businesses has now been completed.

From 1 December 2017, the combined business will operate under the new name of Go Plant Fleet Services Ltd.  The merger brings together two highly complementary businesses with customers across the public and private sectors and creates a group with sales of £80 million, over 500 employees and 35 depots and service centres across the UK.

The entire Go Plant Fleet Services team are passionate about delivering their valued customers with the very highest standards in the industry. The enlarged business has the scale, structure, support and expertise to partner with both public sector and corporate organisations on all of their specialist vehicle requirements across their range of services of operated hire, rental, contract hire and maintenance.

The senior leadership are continuing to invest in their team with a number of recent appointments that will further improve the service they provide.

Mandy Brown joins Go Plant Fleet Services on 4 December as National Business Development Director. Mandy joins with 15 years’ experience developing business, both directly in the Public Sector and with large corporate organisations who deliver key services in that space.

Philip Quelch joins on 1 January as National Fleet Engineering Director. Philip joins Go Plant Fleet Services from Serco, where he held a similar position for 9 years, and brings with him over 30 years’ fleet and plant vehicle experience, resulting in an in-depth understanding of a complex fleet’s needs and requirements having operated and delivered services to them in that time.

Philip will be instrumental in ensuring clients have the right specification of vehicle and operational support to ensure the efficient running of their specialist fleets.

On 1 November, Go Plant Fleet Services were delighted to welcome Arthur Macklin to the company as Bid Manager.
