Milligans Coach Travel of Mauchline, Ayrshire has taken delivery of another Scania Irizar Century coach. Liveried in the colours of tour operator Caledonian Travel, the new vehicle is the fourth with this chassis/body combination to enter service with the Milligan Coach Travel fleet since 2012.
Based on a Euro 5 Scania K 400 EB4x2 chassis with the latest generation of Scania’s Opticruise fully-automated gear selection system, the vehicle’s
Irizar Century Body has 49 reclining seats, three-point seatbelts, a Bosch professional entertainment package, extra dark tinted glass, centre sunken toilet and Durabright alloy wheels.
Commenting on the delivery, Milligans Coach Travel Director Billy Milligan says, “Scania is now the preferred manufacturer for all our future purchases due to great quality build, excellent back up service and good fuel economy. Standardising means that we now carry an imprest stock of Scania parts so that vehicles are not off the road for any great length of time. We would have no hesitation in recommending Scania to any other operator.
Milligans Coach Travel has been operating from Mauchline, Scotland for 66 years. At the present time the company has a fleet of 17 vehicles, 12 of which are Scania.
