The Remy logoRemy Automotive UK Ltd, the UK’s leading starter and alternator manufacturer, has announced the introduction of a new 2012 catalogue covering Light and Heavy Duty applications which it claims is the best product selection tool available in the market.

Application data is similar to the previous catalogue but the sorting has been changed from purely alphabetical to a more intuitive approach to help with product selection at both garage and distributor level. It again includes an upgraded photographic product identifier which Remy states is the most comprehensive available from any full range supplier. The 2012 catalogue not only shows product photographs and all relevant technical information but also the corresponding wiring diagram which is particularly helpful for installers when mounting the unit.

The new catalogue contains an additional 373 part numbers – 228 alternator and 145 starter motor – to give a total of more than 3,500 car references, some of them brand new part numbers. The new catalogue covers in excess of 30,000 applications. The new references include starters for the Vauxhall Astra H, Vectra, Zafira and Saab 9.3 1.9 cdti from 2004 to 2009 and alternators for the Ford Galaxy, Mondeo 1V, S Max, Volvo V 70 and S80 1.8 and 2.0 from 2006 on.

The Remy rotating catalogue again provides detailed advice on the important area of core management. Pictures of all Remy’s core acceptance criteria are shown so that it is clear for customers as to precisely which core will be accepted and which refused.Commenting on the new catalogue, Michael Flensborg, Sales and Marketing Director of Remy Automotive UK, says: “As we continue to expand our business in the UK, it is important that we provide our customers with the best possible information in the most accessible form. We are confident that our photographic buyers’ guide is the best product selection tool available in the UK market today. The 3500+ references also now give us the biggest range ever and this product information is further supported by in-box application specific technical bulletins which provide the best possible technical data to the installer.”
