The new vehicles join two purchased by the firm last year and two further vehicles of identical specification are due to be delivered in the early summer, taking the company’s purchase of Scania OmniExpress coaches over a 12-month period to seven units. Omega Travel provides British and European tours. According to the company’s Ian Huang, its new Scania fleet will be used to help develop Omega Travel’s share of the rapidly developing Mandarin-speaking tourist market in the UK.

Omega Travel’s Scania OmniExpress 14.1-metre overall length bodies come with full executive features including 63 deluxe half-leather passenger seats, Bosch audio/video equipment, zoned climate control, two powered doors, washroom, servery and fridge. The chassis are 400 horsepower Euro 5 Scania K 400 EB 6×2*4 with Scania Opticruise.

Omega Travel Limited has again chosen Scania to be its provider of front-line touring coaches because the OmniExpress’s specification, capacity and value for money, together with the convenience and reassurance of the manufacturer’s repair and maintenance package provide the confidence the company requires. The vehicles’ comprehensive two-year repair and maintenance programme is being managed locally by Scania dealer TruckEast, Milton Keynes.
