Pagid, one of the UK’s largest braking brands, in partnership with Euro Car Parts (ECP), has doubled the size of its specialist technical services team for the UK aftermarket with plans for further expansion later this year.

Bolstered by the three new arrivals, the team now comprises six field-based, braking specialists, who are all fully-qualified and experienced mechanics, as well as being experts on braking and the Pagid brand.

Each team member covers a region of the UK and Ireland and provides braking support for ECP’s aftermarket customers, including visiting workshops, helping with any technical issues and advising on best practice fitment.

As well as visiting workshops, the team also delivers the IMI-accredited Pagid Professional Academy Brake Fitment course, which is available through the ECP Euro Academy Training Programme. To date, over 270 technicians have successfully completed the course which has also become the benchmark training programme for some major automotive groups’ newly-appointed technicians.

“As the F1RST choice braking brand for UK workshops, Pagid is committed to delivering F1RST class product quality and a F1RST rate service to the UK aftermarket. The expansion of our team of technical specialists further illustrates this commitment and underlines our intention to ensure Pagid is always F1RST choice for workshops.” – Phil Woodcock, UK Key Account Manager for Pagid

The team is backed by the ECP and TMD Friction technical, engineering and training departments, and the extensive product and technical resources at TMD headquarters in Leverkusen. Pagid aims to make life as easy as possible for technicians by ensuring everything they need is in the box, for example, fitting kits.

Bill Stimson, Technical Sales director at Euro Car Parts, said: “Braking is an important part of every repairer’s business and we are committed to providing an industry resource that helps speed up the fitment process. We are working with Pagid to ensure that knowledge about its extensive range is shared with our branches, employees and customers so that the end customer gets the right part every time.”
