Ryder is supplying 27 new trucks and trailers to leading recycling and waste management specialist DS Smith Recycling. The new vehicles are in addition to approximately 90 vehicles and forklifts supplied by Ryder that are already in service with DS Smith Recycling.
The new vehicles include four Daf CF330 FAN 6×2 26 tonne bin lifts (rear end loaders) with Inco-Mol Pusher 4000 skipjack refuse collection bodies. Also, part of the new order are six Daf CF410 FAS 26 tonne drawbar hook lift trucks, two Daf CF460 FTG 44 tonne tractor units, and 15 specialised trailers including drawbar recycling units, walking floor food waste units, and walking floor paper waste units.
The new vehicles are being supplied to DS Smith Recycling on a five-year contract hire basis with full maintenance covering the chassis, trailers, and ancilliaries, including the bin lifts on the rear end loaders. Delivery of the new vehicles has commenced and will continue into the middle of 2017.
