With the escalating price of fuel and uncertainty in the economy, it has never been more important to take action to reduce your organisation’s transport and travel costs. Indeed, successful organisations today are those making efficient use of energy and resources to drive down costs and improve their competitive position.
A service offered by Home Energy Scotland, funded by the Scottish Government, is designed to help businesses take action – often easy, low-cost actions – to make annual savings both financial and in terms of carbon savings. Did you know that by adopting fuel efficient driving techniques drivers can save up to £250 per year on fuel costs?
Home Energy Scotland is inviting businesses to attend a free advice event on Thursday November 28 at 10.30am – 2.00pm at Livingston Conference and Events Centre, Livingston FC, Livingston, West Lothian EH54 7DN.
Speakers will provide practical information about support available locally, including funding and financial incentives in place to help businesses lower fuel costs and reduce their carbon footprint.
Attendees will be able to test drive electric vehicles and take a taster fuel efficient driver training session. To do this, make sure you bring along both parts of your licence. All businesses welcome, whether you are a large business with a whole fleet of vehicles or a small business with just one or two company cars.
