The exhibition is a showcase for everything associated with woodland, forests, trees and timber – everything from seed to sawmill. 260 exhibitors and 20 000 visitors are expected over the three days. One of the main features of the exhibition is a 2000m demonstration circuit where over £30 million of woodland machinery can be seen working, carrying out everything from whole tree mulching, tree felling with £300 000 automatic tree harvesters, firewood processing, stump grinding, sawmilling, woodchipping, horse logging and much more. That’s over 21/2 miles of working machinery!

the UK’s largest and most exciting forestry, woodland, trees and timber show, APF 2014, returns to Ragley Estate, Alcester, Warwickshire,There will be some fantastic world class, exciting and unique competitions to see including 50 of the world’s best poleclimbers competing in the Husqvarna World 25m Poleclimbing Championships, Europes top 25 carvers taking part in the A W Jenkinson and UPM Tilhill European Chainsaw Carving Championships, Horse Logging, the World Log to Leg Polelathe Championships, the UK Forwarder Driving Championships, an extensive woodland crafts area with displays of charcoal making, hazel hurdles, oak swill baskets, willow weaving, coracle making, bowl turning, steam bending, clog making, dug-out canoes, Windsor chair making, Sussex trugs, polelathe turning, and elf whittling! including many have-a-go opportunities and displays of working vintage forestry equipment.

There will be seminars in a variety of current topics especially plant health and bi security. The show will be opened by the new Secretary Of State for the Environment Liz Truss.

This will be the 20th Exhibition. The first Exhibition was held at Longleat Estate in 1976. It is returning to Ragley Estate after being staged there in 2004, 2006 and 2012

The Exhibition is the largest such event in the UK and the 3rd largest in Europe
It is the leading exhibition for the forestry, woodland, arboriculture, wood fuel and utility sectors in the UK. 270 Exhibitors and 20 000 visitors are expected over the three days of the show.

Over 2000 exhibitor staff and thousands of visitors will bring more than £1million pounds into the local economy during the course of the Exhibition in terms of hotel bookings and meals.

It features a 2040m demonstration circuit where machines are shown working in a realistic setting. With exhibitors on both sides of the circuit that is over 2½ miles of working machinery. An estimated £30 million pounds of machinery will be on show.
