One of the UK’s market leaders in vehicle onboard weighing, axle overload protection and bin weighing, Vehicle Weighing Solutions Ltd (VWS) celebrated its sixth year as an exhibitor at the CV Show this year.
Star of their stand was the company’s award-winning VOPS™2 vehicle overload protection system. This extremely reliable enclosed measurement system does not rely on springs or transducers and can be fitted to most commercial vehicles ranging from 3.5-tonne GVW, whether the suspension is steel, air or spring.
VWS reported that “almost every visitor to the stand” wanted to talk about fitting an overload protection system to the smaller vehicles in their fleet. Once overlooked, vans are now a hot topic and there appears to be a massive shift in attitude towards achieving compliance – including safe and legal loading.
The VWS team were on hand to discuss the options available with operators and the show proved to be a great way to take VOPS™2 to the industry.
Julian Glasspole, Managing Director, VWS, said: “VOPS™2 is particularly well suited to delivery companies or van operators where there is a high risk of overloading or uneven weight distribution on either axle.”
Keep your vehicle safely and legally loaded
VWS are able to retrofit or work with body builders and truck manufacturers to incorporate the VOPS™2 equipment into the build. All of their manufacturing is carried out under ISO 9001:2008 QA Procedure with EMC/VCA Approval No. 10R.U48 G35.
The simple M35OS indicator gives the driver accurate loading information when and where it is needed. Using a clear and bright organic LED display, the M35OS is an easy-to-read lightweight indicator, ideal for use in any vehicle.
The compact design fits neatly into radio slots and looks equally as good cab-mounted. It displays a percentage of load on front and rear axles and is packed with standard features including high security, anti-tamper password operation and on-screen diagnostics. The display is also available in a waterproof mount for external use.
Once solid, accurate and reliable axle weights and readings are made, VWS can then deliver the data to you however you need it.
