Another 14 Alexander Dennis buses for Compass Travel

Alexander Dennis announced that it has agreed a deal with Compass Travel (Sussex) Ltd for the supply of 13 Enviro200 and one Enviro400.

The independent operator placed the order at the recent annual conference of the Association of Local Bus Managers (ALBUM), of which it is a member.

All new buses are expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. They will join a fleet that is 90% Alexander Dennis vehicles, mainly Enviro200 single-deckers in multiple lengths. The latest 13 now on order will further strengthen the model’s profile as the workhorse of the Compass Travel fleet.

The operator took delivery of its first new Enviro400 double-deckers earlier this year, and is now adding a further example of the type.

Michael Bishop, Managing Director of Compass Travel, said: “This major new order for a further 14 Alexander Dennis buses marks another significant step forward in our ongoing investment programme.

“These new vehicles will further modernise our fleet, improve the customer experience and support the business needs of Compass Travel. Later this year, passengers will begin to see these new high-quality buses entering service, delivering upgraded bus services across our West Sussex network.

“We are proud to continue investing in British-built vehicles and to maintain our strong relationship with Alexander Dennis. I would particularly like to thank our Sales Manager, Mark Taylor, for his continued support, responsiveness and commitment to helping us deliver our vision.”

Alexander Dennis Regional Sales Manager, Mark Taylor, added: “We’re proud to continue the great partnership we have built with Compass Travel over the last decade and more.

“Another Enviro400 double-decker and no fewer than 13 new Enviro200 confirm Compass’s continued trust in our class-leading product and service, and it has been my pleasure to agree this latest deal with Michael Bishop at the ALBUM conference.”
