In 2026, MAN Truck & Bus will take part in RETTmobil International, the international trade fair for rescue and mobility. From 6 to 8 May, the commercial vehicle manufacturer will showcase its expertise in equipping modern emergency vehicles in Fulda, presenting solutions that have proven themselves in everyday rescue operations. With around 33,000 trade visitors from 50 countries and more than 500 exhibitors at the most recent event, RETTmobil ranks among Europe’s most important industry gatherings.
MAN’s exhibition presence spans several areas of the show. In Hall 4, the manufacturer will occupy a corner booth focused on light emergency vehicles. This will be complemented by an outdoor display area in front of Hall K, where heavy emergency vehicles and specialised solutions will be presented. A further exhibition area will be located in front of Hall L. In total, six MAN vehicles will be showcased across MAN’s stands, with additional MAN TGE vehicles on display at body builders’ booths.
The spotlight is firmly on the MAN TGE, which has established itself over recent years as a mainstay in the rescue and ambulance sector. In 2026, the MAN van celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since its market launch in 2016, the TGE has stood for customisation and purpose?built vehicle solutions – an approach MAN Truck & Bus will once again vividly demonstrate at RETTmobil.
In Hall 4 in Fulda, MAN will present a rescue ambulance based on a MAN TGE 6.190 with a TIGIS N20 box body from Ambulanz Mobile, alongside a patient transport ambulance based on a MAN TGE 4.160 with a box body by WAS.
The outdoor exhibition area highlights MAN’s decades?long expertise in firefighting vehicles, underlined by the presence of a truck in the display. The HLF 20 rescue fire?fighting vehicle from Rosenbauer is based on a MAN TGM 16.320 4×4 BL with all?wheel drive. It is joined by a crew transport vehicle converted by MAN Individual. This MAN TGE 4.190 makes its trade?fair debut with the Performance Kit Heavy Duty. The upgrade from MAN Individual increases maximum torque by 40 Nm and output by 27 hp compared with the 160 hp engine.
Beyond the vehicles on the two main stands, further examples of the versatility of the MAN TGE can be seen on a third outdoor exhibition area at Booth F100 in front of Hall L: a command vehicle from Bott and a vehicle for wheelchair?accessible patient transport from Tribus. Together, these exhibits demonstrate the flexibility of the MAN van in terms of wheelbases, weight classes and body and conversion concepts.
The MAN TGE has established itself as a reliable and highly versatile platform for ambulance applications, with orders spanning across Europe. Its success in the emergency services sector is driven not only by its car?like driving characteristics and high levels of safety and comfort, but also by the close cooperation between MAN’s van organisation and specialised body manufacturers. Standardised interfaces – ensured through MAN’s Certified Van Partner Programme – and a robust chassis concept provide the foundation for economical, reliable and operationally safe vehicles.
With its presence in Fulda, MAN Truck & Bus reinforces its commitment to supporting emergency services, fire brigades and aid organisations with tailor?made vehicle solutions for the long term.
